Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 4, 2025
Your privacy is fundamentally important to us. This Privacy Policy explains our principles regarding user data. Our core philosophy is simple: we provide powerful tools without compromising your privacy. This document outlines how we achieve this and what little information, if any, is collected.
1. Our Core Privacy Principle: Your Files Are Your Own
The most critical aspect of our Service is our commitment to client-side processing. This means:
- Your files never leave your computer. Unlike other online services, you do not upload your documents to our servers. All processing (converting, merging, compressing, etc.) is performed locally within your own web browser using advanced technologies like WebAssembly.
- We cannot access your files. Because your files are never transmitted to us, we have zero access to your documents or their contents. What you process with our tools remains completely private and confidential to you.
- No file storage. Since we don't receive your files, we don't store them. All processing is done in the moment. When you close the browser tab, the session and any temporary data are gone.
This model provides the convenience of an online tool with the security of desktop software.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
To be perfectly clear, we do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Personal Information: We do not require you to create an account, register, or provide any personal information like your name or email address to use our tools.
- Your Files or Their Content: As explained above, your files are processed locally and are never seen by us.
- Sensitive Data: We do not collect or process any sensitive personal information.
3. Information We May Collect
Our data collection is minimal and strictly limited to what is necessary to maintain and improve our Service.
Anonymous and Aggregated Usage Data
We may collect anonymous, non-personal, and aggregated data about how users interact with our website. This includes:
- Which tools are most frequently used.
- The country from which the service is accessed (based on IP address, but the IP itself is not stored).
- The type of browser and operating system used.
This data is completely anonymous and cannot be used to identify an individual user. We use this information solely for statistical analysis to help us understand which tools are popular and how we can improve the user experience.
Voluntary Contact
If you choose to contact us directly via email, we will have access to the email address and any information you provide in your message. We will only use this information to respond to your inquiry and provide support. We do not use this information for marketing purposes or share it with third parties.
4. Cookies
We use a minimal number of cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Our use is limited to:
- Essential Functionality: Some cookies may be necessary to remember your settings for a particular session, ensuring the tools function correctly.
- No Tracking or Advertising: We do not use third-party cookies for tracking, advertising, or profiling.
5. Third-Party Services
Our tools are powered by the AvePDF API, which is designed to operate on the same privacy-first, client-side principles. When you use our tools, you are also subject to their technology, which aligns with our commitment to processing files within your browser.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
7. Your Rights Under GDPR
For users in the European Union, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since we do not collect personal data through the use of our tools, these rights are primarily applicable if you have contacted us directly. You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we may hold (such as your email address from a support inquiry).
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
9. Contact Us
